Synopsis

Il Corpo di Napoli looks at the city as a living body, where tradition and modernity continuously meet. From Vesuvius and lava stone to the Campi Flegrei and historic tuff buildings, Naples carries its past into the future.

Following a young Sicilian documentary maker and his camera operator, the film explores myths, sounds, popular culture and encounters with figures such as Roberto De Simone and James Senese. It traces the link between memory, the living and the dead, and the city’s enduring vitality.
